Day is May 11! KAXL is having a Mother’s Day Contest through May 9! Wish your
mother Happy Mother’s Day by sharing with us why you LOVE YOUR MOTHER. Nominate
YOUR mom for a Day of Pampering. Just tell us why you love your mom! Nominate your

CA 93309. We will place her name into a drawing for our Mother’s Day Prize Pack.

This Month's
Community Partner of the Month:
Covenant Community Services (Covenant) is a
faith-based, non-profit, social services organization that focuses on placing
abused and neglected children and teens in homes that model the love of Jesus
Christ. These children makeup Kern County’s foster child population. In addition
to foster care placement, Covenant serves these children and youth through
mentoring, family preservation, transitional housing and mental health services.
Covenant’s mission is providing hope and love to abused and neglected children,
and the mission is fulfilled in each area of service. Covenant’s founders, Randy
& Kim Martin, are also the directors of Kern County’s Royal Family Kids’ Camp,
which is a summer camp designed exclusively for children in foster care.
