28th Annual Bakersfield Prayer Breakfast
- January, 24, 2008
A crowd of over 1,000 was inspired, encouraged and led in
prayer for federal, state, county and city government and all branches of the
military. In addition to Sheryl’s prayer, the chief of Police, Bill Rector
prayed for Bakersfield city police and fired departments, Kern County Sheriff
and Fire departments, Border Patrol/Home Land Security, CHP’s, FBI and
Correctional officers. Student leader, Brant Bonetti prayer for city and county
educators and students of Kern County. Dr. Brad Dickens prayed for business
community, oil industry, farming, health and medical professionals. Jim Darling
prayed for all media, television, radio and print. To God Be the Glory!

Sheryl Giesbrecht leads the prayer for leaders of churches,
centers of worship and service and charitable organizations using God’s “Prayer
Book” The Bible. Selected scriptures from Deut. 7:6, Psalm 51:10, Eph. 4:15 and
Eph. 3:14-20.
