Scriptural Giving
Not sure what amount to give? Here is a fun way to think about it, we call it Scriptural giving. Pick a Bible verse that means a lot to you and consider that reference as an amount. For example, you might choose John 3:16 as your verse, and give $31.60, or perhaps even $316. Below are just a few scriptures as some ideas.
Isaiah 25:1
“O Lord, You are my God;
I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name;
For You have worked wonders,
Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.”
Isaiah 40:1
“Comfort, O comfort My people,” says your God.
Colossians 3:17
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Isaiah 60:1
“Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
Hebrews 13:15
“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.”
Psalm 51:1
Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness;
According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions.
Psalm 100:4
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
